An extensive extended journey circling the Australian Coast has been cancelled following the tragic passing of an elderly female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated island.

The passenger had been hiking on the tropical location with other travelers from the vessel, but separated from the excursion for a pause. The liner left without her and came back later that day after the personnel became aware the lady was unaccounted for.

A major rescue mission located her remains the next day.

Officials are investigating the incident, together with investigators and the medical examiner.
